Product description

Woodbridge Chardonnay White Wine unveils aromas of pear complemented by subtle oak and cinnamon. This California chardonnay wine's light to medium body and vibrant acidity showcase characteristic flavors of peach and apple, leading to a toasty finish with vanilla oak notes. Grapes in this California white wine are sourced from vineyards where warm days and cool breezes permit the grapes to mature fully for nicely balanced, well-rounded flavor. Oak aging on the lees further enriches the texture and complexity of this Woodbridge Wine by Robert Mondavi. Pair this fresh yet silky chardonnay wine with light appetizers, as well as hearty dishes like roast chicken with white truffle risotto, or take time to indulge, enjoying a glass of wine on its own. For best flavor, chill this wine for two to two and a half hours before serving at approximately 50 degrees. Winner of multiple Wine Enthusiast BEST BUY awards since 2011, Woodbridge is Wine Your Way. Please enjoy our wines responsibly. © 2022 Woodbridge Winery, Acampo, CA

Wine, like many alcoholic beverages, contains carbohydrates. When making wine, there are usually residual sugars (therefore carbohydrates) left behind. Generally speaking, drier wines are lower in carbohydrates than sweeter varieties — Chardonnay is a lighter, drier style of wine. A whole bottle of Woodbridge Chardonnay (traditionally 750mL) contains around 15 grams of carbohydrates. Depending on how big your glass is, a typical serving will contain between three-to-four grams of carbs.
A 5-ounce serving of Woodbridge Chardonnay contains about 120 calories. Wines, in general, aren’t super high in calories as long as your servings aren’t too large. In fact, a small, 5-ounce glass of most wine varieties contains between 100 and 130 calories. The exact nutritional content ranges depending on the type of wine — while many wine labels don’t list the calorie count, opt for bottles with an ABV of 12.5% or lower (calories are directly linked to the amount of alcohol in the wine). Drier white wines, like Chardonnay, tend to be lower in calories.
A wine’s dryness depends on how much of the naturally occurring sugars from the grapes are converted into alcohol. Sweeter wines have more residual sugars than varieties that are drier on the palette. Chardonnays tend to have a slightly higher alcohol content (between 13.5% and 14.5%), leading to drier wines — Woodbridge Chardonnay, at 13.5% ABV, is a slightly sweeter style of Chardonnay with bold notes of ripe pear and apple. Because of its light and appealing sweetness, Woodbridge Chardonnay makes a highly approachable option for those who may not be as familiar with wine culture.
Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi Chardonnay is an expertly balanced wine. Its juicy notes of pear paired with a light oak finish create a super approachable table wine. If you’re unsure of your host’s wine preference, you can feel confident gifting a bottle of Woodbridge Chardonnay. It’s consistent, tasty, and carried by most liquor stores and alcohol retailers. Plus, you can find all kinds of Woodbridge Chardonnay size options to meet your party needs, including a jumbo 1.5L bottle, a 500mL cardboard carton, or a 3L box.
