Sourced from coastal California vineyards where warm days and cool nights provide ideal ripening conditions, this fine wine's grapes give rise to a Robert Mondavi chardonnay with balanced, mouthwatering acidity and a long, lingering finish. Malolactic fermentation enhances this white wine's body and complexity, imparting a creamy mouthfeel with hints of toasty brioche. Aging on the lees with French and American oak adds the finishing touches to its buttery profile. Robert Mondavi's Classic Chardonnay is my favorite of the 3 Chardonnays. It's crisp, the perfectly even mix of crisp, light, airy, pairs well with an array of perishables. A Chardonnay that is very easy to drink and of the highest quality in my opinion.
Wife loves this buttery Chardonnay!
This buttery chardonnay was not what I was expecting. It has a very strong perfume aroma, and a light body. It also has a very acidic aftertaste, with a slight butter finish. I think if it had more butter flavor it might not be so bad, but I definitely wouldn't purchase again
This wine was hard to find. Perhaps because it is delicious on its own and gets sold out fast. I didn't pair any food with the "Buttery Chardonnay" simply because it is semisweet, with slight acidity which doesn't leave lingering aftertaste. If I was to pair it with food, I would go with sushi and maybe roasted chicken. I would recommend this wine to anyone who just wants to relax, unwind, and not think about pairing it with food.
The wine had a buttery and crisp taste upon first sip. I tasted hints of apples and peach along with an easy drinking finish. I would pair this wine with fish and chicken.
I really loved this Robert Mondavi Private Selection Buttery Chardonnay. It has a wonderful buttery flavor that tastes better than other Chardonnay brands. It doesn't have a bitter or tart taste like some chardonnays do. It was just smooth and lovely. We paired the Robert Mondavi Private Selection Buttery Chardonnay with a chicken alfredo pasta dish and the two together were perfect. You could pair this with chicken, beef, seafood and fish and it would taste great with anything. Robert Mondavi Private Selection is my new go to Chardonnay brand.
The buttery Chardonnay had aromas of vanilla and paired well with fettuccine. Surprisingly I had watermelon on hand and it was phenomenal together! My friends loved it!
Definitely proved to be very uplifting! Exactly what I needed, paired well with a light bbq grilled meal (chicken, vegetables and some seasonal fruit) smooth tasting, not bitter! Definitely my go to wine!
Our store only stocked one of the wines on the list. The Buttery Chardonnay had a unique aroma and taste.
Super fresh with a hint of sweet. Not a huge buttery Chardonay fan but this one hit the spot on a summer evening with friends on the patio.
