Product description

Situated on the western shore of Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes region of up-state New York, Red Tail Ridge is a 32 acre vineyard and winery owned and managed by husband and wife team Mike Schnelle and Nancy Irelan. The 2010 Sans Oak Chardonnay is completely unoaked, presenting a frest and fruit-driven nose of pear, apple, and stone fruits, underscored by wet-stone minerality. The palate is round a fruity, as the fresh fruit flavors open to reveal richer, more tropical expressions, with subtle baking spice accents at the finish. Named for the two nesting pair of hawks who live in the woods surrounding the vineyard, Red Tail Ridge was the first Leed gold certified green winery in New York.
