Product description

Drinking this Basque wine is a lot easier than saying the names of the grapes in it: Hondarribi Zurri and Hondarribi Beltza. Dry and light-bodied with mineral-driven fruit and aromas of grapefruit and lemon, it is a perfect wine for seafood.

Grown in the north of Spain in the Basque region, the white hondarrabi zuri grape is the main variety used to craft txakoli wine. It's known as a light summer wine to be enjoyed in the sun and has a lower ABV than average for wines (about 9.5-11%)
These light bodied wines are very dry with a high acidity.
You will want to serve txakoli wine with lighter dishes like seafood, soft cheeses, and prawns with garlic. Other summer foods that go well include salads, tapas, and tomato dishes.
This grape variety is pronounced on-da-rabbi zorry. It is the main grape used to produce wines called txakoli, txakolina, or chacoli and you may sometimes find it referred to as these names.
