Product description

The best plots and grapes of the Château La Gordonne are carefully selected for this La Chapelle Gordonne Cuvee, fine dining Rosé. Blend of Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault, 3 of the main Provencal grapes. They are directly pressed to extract only the first juices called “Tete de Cuvee”. Fermentation occurs partly in French oak casks for three weeks. On the eye : lychee-pink color, very pale and limpid. On the nose: Pink grapefruit and linden blossom notes, very rich mineral quality. On the palate: freshness, delicacy and smoothness. Small fresh fruits aromas with a pleasant final of a wild strawberry sorbet. 94 Points Wine&Spirits Magazine [Year's Best Provencal Wine] 91 Points Wine Enthusiast

FAQs

Grenache is a dark-skinned red wine grape that thrives in hot climates. The most well known grenache wines are produced in the Rhône Valley of southern France, but can also be found in Spain, Italy, the United States, and Australia.
Grenache is typically a semi-sweet wine with an ABV of 13.5-16%. Grenache is sometimes compared to pinot noir, tempranillo, or merlot. It features a unique flavor of cinnamon and candied fruit and sometimes mild citrus aromas of grapefruit or orange rinds.
Grenache's intense flavor pairs well with dishes like roasted chicken, smoked meats, pork, and lamb.
It sounds like greh-nash. It’s known as garnacha in Spain, grenache noir in France, and cannonau in Italy.
