Underwood Cellars Pinot Noir is produced by the cutting edge Union Wine Company. Opened in 2005 by winemaker and owner Ryan Harms, the winemaking philosophy has left the fussy parts behind and chosen to focus on making quality wine at an affordable price. They make a concerted effort to be efficient in every aspect of their winemaking process in order to create a beverage that unifies small-scale boutique quality with affordability. Winemaker Ryan Harms hopes his wine demonstrates the diversity, spirit and ingenuity of Oregon, a region known worldwide for high quality Pinot Noir.

The Underwood Cellars Pinot Noir is stored and potentially drunk from a 375ml can, which underlines their commitment to a delicious but accessible product. A traditional can is a very effective way to pass on savings to the drinking public, but it's also outstanding at delivering the wine in a fresh and delicious condition. The Underwood Pinot Noir is a blend from outstanding vineyards all over the state of Oregon, but most of the grapes are sourced from the well-reputed Umpqua Valley.
The Underwood Cellars Pinot Noir has subtle aromas of strawberry, vanilla and forest floor. The wine is juicy and fruit-forward but balanced. Expect to taste ripe cherries, plum, smoke and cedar as well as raspberries and chocolate. The wine is medium bodied, easy to drink, and served best lightly chilled.
