Drizly Expert Notes

Leese-Fitch Wines are bottlings that sit under the umbrella negociant company of 3 Badges Beverage Corporation, founded by the Sebastiani family in California. This line is named after the Leese-Fitch Adobe, a truly iconic building located in the town of Sonoma. This house was built in the 1830s when Sonoma was still a quaint town. This house stood as a school for girls, a hotel, military quarters as well as numerous saloons and restaurants.

Leese-Fitch wines exhibit this historical quality just as the Leese-Fitch house stands as a reminder of its true roots. Their Pinot Noir stands true to form with a nose of strawberry, bing cherry and cola. Herbaceous notes come through as lavender and rosemary while a touch of oak bring about vanilla and cooked baking spices.

Their Pinot Noir is rounded out with a bit of Barbera and Grenache giving it structure and juiciness, making this a prime pairing for fattier meats like glazed duck, salmon or scallops. The wine's rustic quality make it a perfect pairing for an Italian dinner full of pizza topped up with earthy mushrooms. This is a versatile wine that's perfect for food or pleasing on its own serving as an historic trip to Sonoma, before the luster of its modern day.
