Product Description

Domaine d’Ardhuy is located in the heart of Burgundy, France in the Côte de Nuits bordering the Côte de Beaune. It is nestled in the Clos des Langres, which has been synonymous with exceptional wine since the monks of the Abbaye de Cîteau planted the first vineyards in the 10th century. The d’Ardhuy family has owned this estate for four generations perfecting the winemaking process. The vines are treated with the utmost respect of the terrain and cultivated in a traditional manner. The harvest is the final outcome from the work of the vineyard care. Through exceptional knowledge of the land and frequent maturity checks, they harvest each field at its optimum maturity. All fermentation takes place traditionally in oak barrels with regular stirring of the lees at the end of the fermentation process resulting in exceptional wines. Deep red color. It is charming. Even when young, it shows its promise with a profusion of aromas of red berries and cherries. With a generous mouth, supple and even a bit greed-inducing. This is not a great keeping wine, but a wine to drink for the pure pleasure of it and to enjoy young.
