This is Righetti’s reserve Amarone. The name "Capitel de’Roari" is derived from the local way to say "many oaks" and refers to the various plots of vineyards where grapes are obtained for this Amarone Classico. The vineyards, which are situated on the finest hills of the Valpolicella Classico, are well cultivated, limited in production and high in quality. Well-balanced with dark fruit flavors, earth and meaty components. Aromas of black cherry and prunes joined by beefy and earthy notes. Moves along the palate nicely with a mix of dark and dried fruit with some meatiness on the finish. Elegant but exhibiting good concentration. Food Pairing: Bolognese, cheese, good match with beef or lamb dishes.
