Ascheri’s saturated, dark purple colored Dolcetto Nirane originates in an exceptional, relatively high altitude, site in the commune of Verduno, at the border with La Morra. The name derives from dark colored grape called Neirani that was grown here in times past. Ascheri harvests these Dolcetto grapes in mid-September and ages the wine in stainless steel for only 6 months to enhance its soft, juicy and silky character. Ascheri’s Dolcetto Nirane is bursting with aromas and flavors of ripe fruit – violets, dark plums and berries – and has a soft, velvety and generous texture on the palate
