- Red Wine
The Ebro runs north-west to south-east across the top of Spain, and wine is cultivated along most of its length. Historically many of the regions planted Garnacha, from Rioja down to the Priorat. Although much of these plantations have been replaced with other varieties, there are still area where Garnacha dominates, like in the DO Cariñena, where it is 60% of the area planted. This dry and sunny region is perfect for the Garnacha grapes and lead us to the name of Campos de Luz (fields of light). The vineyard: A single estate with plots of 40 to 80 year old Garnacha bush vines with yields of less than 3 tons per hectare. Other parts of the estate have been more recently planted and are trellised. Grape varieties: Mostly Garnacha, although there are also parcels of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Tempranillo, Chardonnay, Macabeo and Moscatel. The wines: The range of Campos de Luz wines is based around Garnacha, the most typical and essential of the grape varieties. Aromatic and utterly bound to the history of the region.View all products by Campos de LuzCalifornia Residents: Click here for Proposition 65 WARNING
