Product description

Our Cabernet Sauvignon was the first wine we made. This is the wine that started it all, setting the exacting standards that we hold ourselves to for all of our varietals. Round and juicy, our Cabernet Sauvignon has flavors of blackberry, toasted hazelnut and cinnamon, complemented by hints of vanilla and toasted oak. We love pairing this wine with well-seasoned meats like beef, pork, or lamb, and indulgent chocolate desserts. Our Cabernet Sauvignon was the first wine we made. This is the wine that started it all, setting the exacting standards that we hold ourselves to for all of our varietals. The nose bursts with aromas of intense dark fruits, cinnamon, clove, and subtle oak aromas. The palate is dominated by flavors of black cherries and blackberries, accented by vanilla and toasty oak and finishing long with round, soft tannins.

Malbec fan overall so maybe take this with a grain of salt. I like cabs if they are hearty. This was lighter. sweet/syrupy. Something was off and I couldn’t figure out what. Nothing ventured nothing gained I guess but will pick something else next time.

All Josh Cellars wines come from the West Coast, where the brand has three production facilities: one in Mendocino, California, one in Paso Robles, California, and another in Oregon. In this region, sunny days are balanced by mild coastal fog and fresh air coming off the ocean, creating cool evenings after hot days — the perfect conditions for growing cabernet sauvignon. Josh Cellars also makes proseccos, though these are created in Italy.
