- Cabernet Sauvignon
Founded in 1883 and headquartered in Chile, Concha Y Toro is Latin America's largest wine producer and the biggest exporter of Chilean wine. Cabernet Sauvignon is Concha Y Toro's most famous varietal. Casillero del Diablo Cabernet Sauvignon sits on the other end of the value spectrum, it's Concha Y Toro's workhorse, born in 1963. The love child of volume and value, it sees all the aids and industrial winemaking ingredients to ensure consistency year over year, it's a quintessential example of the varietal. Casillero del Diablo Cabernet Sauvignon is perfect for dinner parties, holidays with the family, house parties or a simple night at home accompanied with dinner.
Accolades galore flow from the press including Decanter magazine's recognition of the 2005 vintage of Casillero del Diablo Cabernet Sauvignon as the “best of the planet."
Raised in the alluvial soils of Chile's Central Valley and aged in American oak, Casillero del Diablo Cabernet Sauvignon offers an intense ruby color. On the nose, plush black fruit notes, berries, cassis, ripe plum and cherry followed by dried herbs and vanilla. Pair Casillero del Diablo Cabernet Sauvignon with red meats, well seasoned or bold flavored dishes, or a cheese plate featuring hard cheeses and blue, accompanied with dark jams and dried fruit.
