Product description

"This extra fine sherry comes exclusively from select vineyards in the 'Zona de Jerez Superior' the world's finest area for production of sherry. It is medium dry with a delicate color and aroma reminiscent of hazel nuts. It has an especially pleasing taste that pairs beautifully well with hors d'oeuvres, soups, salads and cheese."

It’s my favorite sherry and such a good price! I like to have a bottle on hand so whenever someone in a Britbox or Acorn mystery series has an old lady (like me) having a glass of sherry, I can join in! Also: so much better than cooking sherry for special recipes!

Bought to make black bean soup. Fine for that. I haven't tasted it yet.

FAQs

Sherry is a fortified wine from Andalucía, Spain. All sherry is made from three types of green grapes - palomino, moscatel and pedro ximenez. The youngest sherry produced will be at least three years, but many are much older.
There is a wide range of sweetness levels when it comes to Sherry wines. They can range anywhere from very sweet to very dry.
Because sherry comes in so many different styles, there is an ideal one to pair with every dish. The classic pairing goes like this: If it swims - fino. If it flies - amontillado. If it runs - oloroso.
Sherry is aged above ground, and is fortified, which most wines are not. The harvest is not as important when creating sherry and 98% of sherry is non-vintage.
