Eh. Not the nicest Chianti for this price point.
Ruffino Riserva Ducale Oro Gran Selezione Chianti Classico DOCG Sangiovese
Red Blend /14.5% ABV / Tuscany, Italy
Big & Bold Chianti Blend
Cured Meats, Mushrooms
Ruffino Riserva Ducale Oro Gran Selezione Chianti Classico DOCG Red Wine is an elegant and well-structured red wine blend that expresses a distinctive Tuscan bouquet of violet, cherry and plum, with scents of chocolate and spice. Made with meticulously hand-harvested chianti, merlot and colorino grapes from Ruffino's acclaimed Gretole and Santedame estates in the Castellina sub-region of Chianti Classico, this Italian red wine offers powerfully fruity flavors with intriguing notes of cinnamon and clove. This red blend ages in oak, stainless steel and concrete vats for 36 months, followed by additional months in the bottle before release, resulting in a full-bodied chianti wine with elegant tannins, good acidity and a lasting finish with hints of chocolate and coffee. Enjoy this fine wine with traditional Italian dishes such as pasta with bolognese sauce, wild boar ragu or eggplant parmesan. It also pairs well with classic American dishes such as grilled rib eye and roasted vegetables. This would not be in the category of "affordable" wine but it is delicious and worth the price. If you like the regular Ruffino Chianti, then try this one if you have the chance. Great flavor, dry but not too Tanic. Definitely a winner! Pair it with a bistecca alla fiorentina or tagliatelle al tartufo!

If you're looking to gift someone or enjoy you're own glass, Ruffino Chianti is as close as I can remember my dad's homemade wine. My #1 fave wine. Really anything Ruffino they are truly 'classic' in the wine department.

Good bottle of red for the price. Smooth with the right balance. Great with a steak! My preference is a bit dryer but still a good bottle at an affordable price. I would recommend it.

The Riserva Ducal is one of my favourite wines to have with dinner. It pairs so well with Pasta and steak. Definitely a must have in the wine fridge.

The Ruffino riserva Ducale Chianti Classico we had recently was a nice Chianti. It took me back to my time in Florence, Italy where we would try a variety of local wines (mostly Chianti) most evenings while hanging out with friends or just having dinner. I can still hear the sounds of chatter and laughter of our friends while having a glass of vino on a patio cafe. With good wine come good memories.

I have yet to find a ruffino wine that I haven't liked! Most of these Italian wines end up becoming my go-tos. They are priced great too!

This wine is AMAZING! Smooth, fruity and a tad spicy (not heat spicy) it pairs beautifully with rich dishes like pasta or steak and stews. I've always loved vintage wines and this is a must have for your collection.

Had this wine one time only taste good. I found it a little strong for me and the taste was a little bitter for me. Other than that it was still good quality and afortable price.
