Product description

The 2002 vintage was characterised by a mild, dry weather. Both spring and summer experienced wonderful sunny periods. Despite the rain at the end of August, the dry wind and fine weather which arrived in September made it possible for the grapes to ripen in excellent conditions.

Ordered this bottle of Ruinart for a last minute birthday gift. Had less than an hour to spare and despite the snow falling in New York City, Drizly got my delivery to me FAST!

You can definitely taste the Pinot Noir in this brut rose. It has a wonderful complexity of flavor, on top of millions of tiny bubbles. There's almost a dry red-wine finish. We did not drink this with food, and I enjoyed having it without any competition.

FAQs

A Champagne blend is a famous style of sparkling wine made from three main grapes - pinot noir, chardonnay and pinot meunier. The blend of wine may only be called Champagne if it is produced in the Champagne region of France.
The three main grapes used for Champagne blends are chardonnay, pinot noir, and pinot meunier. The other four additional grapes that are officially permitted to be used, but are quite rare in practice are pinot gris, pinot blanc, petit meslier, and arbane.

Drizly's take

The Ruinart Champagne Brut Rosé features a delicate fragrance of roses, spices, red fruits, exotic fruit and freshly turned earth. This sparkling wine is an elegant blend of French chardonnay and pinot noir to balance freshness and body. Workers harvest the grapes manually to preserve their flavor, then Ruinart Champagne Rosé undergoes a fermentation process in thermoregulated stainless steel casks. Then, the winemakers start a malolactic fermentation to create the bubbles we all love.

If you want to surprise your date, pair the champagne with prosciutto crudo di San Daniele or Parma, salmon, lamb or veal. Shop Driz or click these links to search for us in your city, or find liquor stores on Drizly near you.
