Product Description

This nearly garnet Rose, like all our non-vintage sparkling wines, is aged 24 months en tirage. It has a lovely, bright floral bouquet with hints of strawberry, raspberry, and cherry. On the palate, it is rich and fruity in a dry, Brut style. The flavor of berries continues on the palate, revealing more strawberry, raspberry, cherry. This sparkler is lots of fun and very festive, but production is limited to 5000 cases per year, so don’t miss out!

Drizly Expert Notes

Gilbert Gruet, from Bethon, France, created a winemaking co-op in 1967 and named it Gruet et Fils so that he could fulfill his dream of producing quality Champagne. On a family trip to New Mexico in 1983, the Gruet family discovered winemakers in the small town of Engle, New Mexico who were using the unique climate and terroir to create high-quality vineyards.

The family settled down in New Mexico in 1984 with their two children, and planted vineyards with traditional Champagne grapes, including Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Their three vineyards are located throughout New Mexico and their sparkling wine bottlings have made a name for the state throughout the world. Their wines have been recognized by Wine Enthusiast, Wine & Spirits and many other acclaimed sources and their Brut Rose is no different.

This wine showcases the Pinot Noir grape of New Mexico. The wine exclusively uses this red grape and is the speciality of Laurent, Gilbert's son. The elegance of this wine showcases bright and fresh raspberry, strawberry and cherry with bright purple and pink florals. A truly multifaceted wine, it could last through a meal with an aperitif of nuts and cheese, a main course of salmon, to a fruit and cream-based dessert. The Gruet family has truly made a name for New Mexico with elegant and food-friendly sparkling wines.
