Product Description

This fine Spanish sparkling wine is made using the Traditional Method, in which the secondary fermentation producing a sparkling wine's bubbles occurs in the bottle. Its fresh, toasty nose, beautiful citrus, green apple and mineral flavors, supple, lively mouth-feel, and clean, crisp finish make it the ultimate celebratory wine. Enjoy it on its own and with caviar, sushi, seafood, fried foods and Asian dishes

Drizly Expert Notes

Cristalino Cava is a great find because it starts around $10 and also happens to be an 84 point rated bottle of bubbles from Wine Wpectator. This is just the thing for this weekend's brunch. You'll have your guests dancing on table tops and partying Sunday Funday away with an endless mimosa brunch. Cristalino is sold at a great price point and with high praise from critics this will quickly become a go-to for bubbles.

This lemon-and-lime-scented Brut Cava is delicious, with tart green-apple flavors and fine looking bubbles. The company, founded in 1943 by winemaker Jaume Serra Guell, is now owned by the Carrión family, but it still makes wine in the caves under its winery in the coastal town of Villanueva y Geltrú, in Spain. By law, the Spanish require their sparkling wine to be made in the same process as the Champagne region of France. This really comes across in the quality and complexity of this Spanish Cava.

Cava is just Spanish sparkling wine, and it's actually much more like Champagne than the sweeter Prosecco. For the perfect mimosa add a dash of fresh orange juice. Or you can fill up everyone's glass for that momentous toast you have been looking forward to giving all night and not worry about breaking the bank. Serve chilled and with your favorite brunch fare, but it's also very refreshing with raw shellfish, or of course you could do Spanish tapas and paella.
