Product description

Chandon was sparked into life in 1973 by the visionary spirit of Robert-Jean de Vogüé and California pioneer John Wright. As one of the first French-owned sparkling wine ventures in the U.S., Chandon carefully selected its vineyards and are now considered to be amongst the best for producing quality sparkling wines in California In keeping with the style established when the winery was founded, Chandon Brut Classic captures the expression of California’s vineyards. Its crisp and fresh flavor profile relies on a blend of the three traditional grape varietals used in Champagne — Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier — and adds a celebratory note to any occasion.

If you like real champagne and are looking for that experience - dry, NOT sweet and somewhat delicate bubbles then this is an excellent choice for the price.

Excellent domestic champagne. Dry and bubbly. Have had it before and it is a go-to when I want a bottle of bubbly.

OK, but not ordering again. I'd go with these champagnes/sparklings: Domaine Ste Michelle, Chandon SweetStar.

FAQs

A Champagne blend is a famous style of sparkling wine made from three main grapes - pinot noir, chardonnay and pinot meunier. The blend of wine may only be called Champagne if it is produced in the Champagne region of France.
The three main grapes used for Champagne blends are chardonnay, pinot noir, and pinot meunier. The other four additional grapes that are officially permitted to be used, but are quite rare in practice are pinot gris, pinot blanc, petit meslier, and arbane.
