Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label
Champagne /12% ABV / Champagne, France
- Champagne, France
Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Champagne is the signature champagne of the House. Dominated by Pinot Noir, it offers a perfect balance of structure and finesse. Grapes from as many as 50 to 60 different Crus go to the blending of Yellow Label. Traditionally, the proportion of each grape variety used is 50 to 55% Pinot Noir, 15 to 20% Meunier and 28 to 33% Chardonnay. These figures vary slightly from year to year according to conditions. Cellar Master Dominique Demarville has to achieve the consistency that makes Yellow Label so immediately recognizable, so utterly reliable both in terms of quality, color and bouquet. He will draw on priceless reserve wines for the blend: from 30 to 45% to ensure the continuity of the House’s style. All wines are kept separately to preserve the unique qualities of their vineyard and / or vintage. This product may be available in a gift box depending upon retailer availability. Yellow Label has been the symbol of the Vueve Cliquot House since 1772. Pinot Noir and reserve grapes are used prominently in the making of this champagne, and they shine through in the power, delicacy and intricacy. To help balance out the structure, Meunier and Chardonnay are included as well. Yellow Label showcases Veuve Cliquot's outstanding vineyards and consistent style of the house that has enthralled wine drinkers since the 1700s.
It's a Brut wine, which is the driest classification of champagne, and best paired with oysters or a light pasta with fresh vegetables and seafood. A beautiful Salmon filet or a tuna tartare would also be a nice compliment for Yellow Label. Cliquot's aged tradition of quality shines through in the look of this wine. The bubbles are wonderfully fine, persistent and tiny and the nose features toasted Brioche, golden delicious apple and white peach. Anytime you choose a bottle of Yellow Lable, you're elevating the level of elegance of whatever the moment may be. Celebrate life tonight with some of the world's favorite champagne.
