Appellation: Agrelo, Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza Main varieties: Malbec, Petit Verdot y Cabernet Franc. Original vineyards: Melipal estate vineyard planted in 2003 Nazarenas estate vineyard planted in 1923 Altitude a.s.l.: 980 mts. Soil type: Slimy sand Plantation density: Melipal vineyard 7.900 plants/hect. Nazarenas vineyard 6.000 plants/hect. Production (k/plant): Melipal vineyard 1 kgs/plant Nazarenas vineyard 0,500 kgs/plant. Harvest: Manual, in 15 kg boxes. ELABORATION Alcoholic fermentation: Spontaneous, with indigenous yeasts, carried out in 75 hl tanks, at a temperature betwen 28°C to 30°C. Fermentation and maceration time (days): 20 to 23 days Malolactic fermentation: In French oak barrels. Ageing: 12 month in French oak barrels. Each varietal was separate during fermentation and ageing then selecting the best barrels the final blend was made.
