Veuve Cliquot Ponsardin was one of the premier female wine makers of her time. She was responsible for riddling, branding and introducing the famous technique of sabering open bottles. These pioneering efforts gave international recoginition to Veuve Cliquot. It's recognized for its yellow label, making it easy to spot. They were also the first Champage house to produce Rose Champagne. Located in the champagne region of Reims and founded in 1772, Veuve Cliquot remains one of the premier Champagne houses in France to this day.
With an elegant straw color, the vibrant towers of tiny bubbles bring one's palate to life. Pinot noir grapes provide structure, pinot menuier round out the blend and chardonnay adds an elegance and finesse.
