Tincup Whiskey is inspired by Tincup, Colorado, a mining town west of the Rockies, and its whiskey is designed to enjoy on the mountain. In the old days, miners would sip beverages from tin cups, and so the tradition continues. Every bottle is capped with a tin cup instead of a traditional top, so you always have something to drink from.
Tincup founder Jess Graber has been distilling whiskey since the early '70s and draws inspiration from the Colorado mountains and the beautiful wilderness that surrounds him every day.
Each bottle of Tincup is made in the mountains and cut with water straight from the Rockies. It's considered American-style whiskey that might taste like a bourbon at first blush but finishes with decidedly spicy notes and a strong mouthfeel.
Graber distills his whiskey from corn, rye and malted barley, which you might say combines the best of all worlds. Every bottle is aged for at least four years in bourbon casks, which helps explain the spicy notes and rich color. Enjoy it neat for the best experience, but we won't judge if you prefer a cocktail instead.
