Product Description

While gulping beers from tankards several stories underground in the ancient cellars of a medieval brewery in the Czech Republic, the seed of Sixpoint Crisp Lagers had taken root. Of course the Mad Scientists had no desire to simply recreate that old world flavor, but the experience itself had forever altered the vector of their formulating... When the Mad Scientists emerged from underground, the quest for a new formulation went from obsession to reality. What do you get when you fuse old world craftsmanship with new, clean, and bold flavors from the right raw materials? The Crisp. It’s Mad Science.

Drizly Expert Notes

Founded in Brooklyn, Sixpoint is taking the taps of New York City by storm, and expanding its reach beyond. The microbrewery's slogan is Beer is Culture and their creative 'mad scientist' approach to brewing and marketing is what makes them standouts. The Crisp is Sixpoint's classic Pilz. A refreshing, light amber pilsner that was born in Germany.

The folks at Sixpoint really did devise this concoction in a German lab. The Crisp is made from Tettnang and Hallertau Hops, 100% sourced directly from Germany, with a Cargill Pilsner Malt. The hops- directly provided by German farmers- give the brew a signature floral aroma. The malt defines it as a refreshing, sunny pilsner. The Crisp packs a punch too, with an ABV of 5.4%, higher than average for a pilsner. With that sweet spot IBU of 44, this wont' be too hoppy for those who avoid IPAs, but still retains the flavor of a craft beer for those looking to up their pilsner game.

Kick back and enjoy the hops out of one of Sixpoint's , and next time you're out on the town, consider a light, tasty draft of The Crisp.
