Though known primarily for its long-aging reds and weighty whites, the region of Rioja also produces world class rosé. Rosado can be made anywhere red grapes are grown, so there's no better place than Rioja to crank out wines made from Tempranillo, Graciano, Mazuelo (Carignan), and Garnacha. The 2013 vintage of Palacio is made from steel processed Garnacha without any additional aging or oak treatment, allowing for bright fresh flavors to shine through. Flavor Profile: Medium-bodied, fruity. Strawberry pink in color with a clean fragrant nose. Berries and red fruit along with lively acidity and floral notes on the palate and finish. Pair with brunch, sandwiches, salads, and other cold fare.
