Try this scotch cocktail, perfect for the colder months!


  • 2 oz Shackleton
  • ½ oz of Preserved Citrus Peel Syrup*
  • 2 Dashes Angostura Bitters


  • Ice cube tray
  • Bar spoon
  • Lowball glass
  • Hawthorne strainer
  • Knife
  • Muddler

How to Mix

  1. Stir all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice
  2. Strain over one large ice cube
  3. Garnish with preserved citrus peel
*Preserved Citrus Peel Syrup: 
  1. Using a vegetable peeler, peel segments off an orange or other citrus fruit - being careful not to cut too deeply into the pith
  2. Muddle peels with sugar
  3. Add hot water to melt sugar
  4. Store for at least 48 hours for the citrus peels to preserve
