Madeleine, my grandmother, was the niece of Baron Louis de Montfaucon. If I have dedicated to him this vintage is that it also means a lot to Montfaucon. Magdalene was a woman of character; she led the vineyards for more than sixty years. This white wine is produced following the same philosophy as the Baron Louis, and with great delicacy. All the grapes (Marsanne, Viognier, Clairette, Grenache Blanc and Bourboulenc) are harvested by hand in boxes of 20 kg and are immediately pressed. We leave the must settle naturally cold for 10 to 20 hours before withdrawing it in oak barrels, where the wine is left to ferment naturally without temperature control. This is to respect the natural expression of the vineyards, with a minimum of intervention. The wine aged in cask and for 7 months before being bottled.
