Because isn't that the whole point?
In Roussillon’s Upper Agly Valley, the Batlle family has been growing grapes for five generations. in 1999 Jean Batlle and his son, current winemaker Nicolas, purchased the old Domaine Las Fredas just outside of Maury and renamed it Domaine Mas de Lavail. Surrounded by 80 hectares of vineyards, old-vines and quality standards keep yields incredibly low at 25 to 30 hectoliters per hectare- half of what is permitted in the appellation.View all products by Lavail
