Tasting note : A generous wine that offers instant pleasure - the succulent fruit combines with peppery spice and wild herb-like perfumes of the surrounding thyme and lavender. The tannins are ripe and integrated. Mas Beauvert is the perfect wine for grilled steak, braised dishes, or a selection of cheese. Varieties: 70% Grenache, 15% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah, 5% Counoise. Soils: The mineral-rich, stony soils, with riverrolled "galets", overlay clay and sand. Climate: Mediterranean climate with long hot and dry summers. Area planted: 11 Ha of vines with the natural, wild flora allowed to grow between the rows. Vine yield : 38 Hl/Ha WInemaking: Hand-picked grapes, with around half the stalks removed before fermentation. Traditional vinification in cement tanks with careful temperature control. Each variety is vinified separately, with the final blend only confirmed after vinification and tasting. The expertly blended wines are then allowed to mature and soften for 12 months in tank before release.
