Stefano and Nicoletta continue to make their Superiore to the well-tried recipe, using 70% fresh and 30% passito grapes. The 2010 is as urbane and sleek as ever, with precise, red cherry stone aromas and even a note that reminds one of German Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir). Suave, supple, with good intensity, the product of ageing in 350 and 550 litre French oak barrels. Glistening Pinot-esque palate, kept fresh by a short maceration.
