Brewed to be 6.5% ABV and 80 IBUs (International Bittering Units), Steal This Can is brewed with Chinook, Zeus, and Centennial hops. Those are 3 big, citrusy, piney, and bitter beers. However, used properly, and balanced against a malt make up consisting of American Red Wheat malt, it's a marriage that is fantastic. Poured out of a tall boy 16 ounce can, you get a burnt orange color, with a slightly bready malt flavor.
The brewery is named after their first bar, called Lord Hobo, located in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In addition to the beer, the food is killer, and there is infinite things to drink this beer with. IPAs crave food that can match up to the intense bitterness, but be weary, because spicy foods will only make your mouth hotter. Go drink Lord Hobo's Steal This Can beer with a big juicy rib eye steak, a hot dog with whole grain mustard and raw onion, or a reuben.
Lord Hobo's Steal This Can should be the new IPA that is in your fridge all the time. Run by real OG's in the Boston beer scene, and incredibly talented people. Just make sure you don't, you know, ACTUALLY steal the can!
