This is definitely a bottle of whiskey you should buy if you're either, getting more serious about whiskey or you don't know where to start. For some people it looks pricey, but it's worth it. I recommend this over blantons. Tasting notes: salty sweet on the palate with plenty of pepper and just enough smoke and peat to satiate even the pickiest of whiskey connoisseurs.

Dominique Verified BuyerVerified BuyerGregory Verified BuyerVerified BuyerExactly what was called for on the first rain of autumn after a long week of making trouble. A lovely warm chat with peat and spice.
Phillip It smells like sitting on old, dryed, deeply ridged, widely cracked, darkly grayed, wooden planks making up the ancient bench that has been facing this seaside dock since before photos were in color. Maybe it’s from the shoots of long flaxen grass blowing in the wind around the benches, or the oil the old men think make the rope last longer, with their diligent application week after week — like a ritual that has long lost its understanding, but an oily vapored feeling of security settles the air. Nothing in this cove survives the wash unless it was potent and overly strong at the start. But time has made the over-potent smooth, yet still hinting of its past offenses. Like an old convict, too frail to threaten except with the look in his eyes and what you know is a grip you’ll regret getting inside of.
Zach Verified BuyerVerified BuyerThis is easily my favorite Scotch. Talisker is always the brand I go back to. When I try other brands I think about talisker and I inevitably want it again. The smoke is just right, the salty, peppery flavors, it just has all the notes I want. From the nose to the finish Its just perfect.
