Product Description

Experience the distinctively graceful style of Oban Distillers Edition Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky. For this special release, the Master Distiller of Oban has chosen Montilla Fino casks to underline its sea-laced flavors. This dry, delicate cask wood beautifully enhances the style of Oban. To fully experience this exquisite Distillers Edition, simply serve neat. Includes one 86 proof 750 mL bottle of Oban Distillers Edition Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Oban, or "Gateway to the Isles", was founded in 1794 by John and Hugh Stevenson. While it has undergone many improvements since 1883, today our whisky is made using only the finest barley, malted to the distillery's own particular specifications and finally distilled using lamp glass-shaped stills. Marrying the sea air character of the Island malts to the soft, fruity style of the Highlands, Oban's attractive West Highland character reflects its location and makes for an unforgettable drinking experience. Please drink responsibly.

Yes, whiskey is gluten-free, thanks to the distillation process used to make it. The Celiac Disease Foundation concluded that it can safely be considered gluten-free, though it’s still possible that some people with high gluten sensitivity or celiac disease could have a reaction to whiskeys created from certain grains.
Whiskey can include a large number of different distilled spirits made from fermented grain mash — usually cereal grains like rye, barley malt, wheat and corn. The drink undergoes aging in wooden containers, most often oak.
One of the reasons whiskey is so popular is that there’s no single way to enjoy it. There’s the purist route — straight and neat, no mixers, no ice — but what fun is being a purist? You can add water to it, which can enhance certain bottles’ flavors or you can add it with other ingredients to make delicious mixed drinks. It’s the foundation of the Manhattan, the Old Fashioned, the Whiskey Sour and many others.
