best scotch I ever had. My customers would buy for me for Christmas. Now that I'm retired I have to buy my own.

I always compare it to a campfire in the woods. Super Smokey with pine notes
Drank it as a newbie. Loved it right away. My cousin as well. It packs a punch, but goes down smoothly and the flavor is divine. It's the perfect drink for when the fellas get together to enjoy an after work Friday meat-up featuring entraña, or picaña steak, or anticucho with Andean pepper sauce.

This is a great tasting Scotch.
Agree with Bill. Lagavulin is a wonderfully complex and smokey scotch but it is definitely not for newby scotch drinkers. If you don't like it, its you, not the scotch.

Anyone who comments negatively about the taste of Lagavulin is obviously a novice and should be discounted. They can go back to Johnnie Walker where it's easy to understand.
