Each limited annual release of the Macallan Classic Cut is the work of a different Whisky Maker. For the 2019 edition, Polly Logan of the whisky mastery team created a truly indulgent single malt using only sherry seasoned oak casks handpicked for their extraordinary character and bottled at a strength of 52.9% ABV for maximum flavor. With a rich character of sweet ginger, orange zest and vanilla, a creamy mouthfeel and a sumptuous finish, this is a superb bottle to savor now or to add to a prestigious collection for later. In cases where the 2019 vintage is no longer available, the current vintage in stock will be shipped.

    I had never liked whiskey and one day someone explained to me all about the Single Malt. I researched the subject and read the late great Michael Jackson’s guide to single malt whiskey where he said “ Macallan 12 is the Rolls Royce of single malt whiskies.” He was absolutely correct. For the money it is without peer. I have since tasted over 30 single malts but I always come back to my first love.

    This is a beautiful balance of oak and sherry but unlike all other Macallan's this is left at Cask strength- I believe 58% unlike the other watered down versions that are simply lacking despite the character. Highly recommended and blends well with several cigars.
