Pale gold color. Aromas of fresh grain, banana bread with raisins, toasted walnuts, and honey-drizzled pears with a supple, crisp, dryish light-to-medium body and a smooth, interesting, medium-long melon, smoked peppercorns, pimiento, marinated mushrooms, and banana nougat finish. A shape-shifting Whisky that offers a charming and delicate nose followed by a swift and assertive rush of piquant flavor on the palate.

Product description
The Glenlivet 14 Year Old is no ordinary single malt. Aged for 14 years, this groundbreaking whisky is matured in bourbon and sherry casks before being finished in the highest quality ex-cognac casks for at least 6 months. This finish brings a uniquely rich and intense flavor to the iconic fruity and floral style of The Glenlivet. • Taste: Succulent flavors of mandarins in syrup, ripe poached pears and chocolate-dipped raisins. • Nose: Bursting with sweet and fruity aromas. Rich in honey and apricot jam, with notes of sweet cinnamon bread and a subtle sensation of spicy licorice. • Finish: incredibly smooth, luscious and satisfyingly long.

The Minister Reviewed at theglenlivet.comReviewed at theglenlivet.comThis is one of the sweetest single malt whiskies on the market I'm aware of. It's well developed considering it has no peat or smoke flavors. The cognac barrel aging does a lot to this bottle... much more than expected. This is a perfect drink for newbies just getting into the brown water. I LOVE this whisky with dark chocolate, cheddar cheese, and / or dry roasted peanuts.
joit1 Reviewed at theglenlivet.comReviewed at theglenlivet.comSmooth. Tried this on vacation.. very smooth sipping. Affordable if you can swing it for a special occasion.
Francesco This is very smooth, more so than the standard 12 year. Unfortunately, for me, the Cognac Cask finish at the end is evident, so the true scotch flavor profile gets drowned out.. Nothing bad about that, but just like the Caribbean Cask with the Rum finish, this one does have Cognac notes. I don’t care for Rum or Cognac, but 60 bucks and there’s nothing smoother

joans24 Reviewed at theglenlivet.comReviewed at theglenlivet.comDid I pass out and awaken in Edinburg? If I didn't, I'd love to know which fine young tartan-clad man danced through my dreams as I sipped this scotch last night. Thank you, sir!
James One of the superior single malts, and one that I keep coming back to.
