Product description

With each batch specially crafted, Aberlour A’bunadh is a unique cask strength whisky that has achieved cult status among whisky connoisseurs. Meaning ‘the original’ in Gaelic, A’bunadh is made in homage to Aberlour’s founder, James Fleming, using only traditional methods without chill filtration or other modern processes. The result is a heavier, creamier single malt than most have ever experienced – memorably flavoursome, with an intense raisin character.

Really great for sipping! Hints of sherry or chocolate and spices.

Our all time fave... When we arrived in Edinburgh and went in our favorite pub off of Princes street , its the first dram the bartender gave me , and we have never forgotten the taste.... We love so many others , including Dalwhinnie and Glen livet , Oban and a dozen more, but this always comes to the top of the list !! Worth every penny !!

Most times I take my whiskey down to about 35% to drink so I get better flavor profiles and such....this one just blew me away straight out of the bottle. Diluted it down for more flavors and actually preferred it at full strength. It must admit I am pretty new to whiskey but I love the sweetness and heat that I get when drinking this one(I love Ports).

Many single malt experts will put this near the top of their list. Amazing taste and finish. It is cask strength with 50% more alcohol than a majority of scotch. Just add the right amount of water and you'll be hooked.

FAQs

Yes, whiskey is gluten-free, thanks to the distillation process used to make it. The Celiac Disease Foundation concluded that it can safely be considered gluten-free, though it’s still possible that some people with high gluten sensitivity or celiac disease could have a reaction to whiskeys created from certain grains.
Whiskey can include a large number of different distilled spirits made from fermented grain mash — usually cereal grains like rye, barley malt, wheat and corn. The drink undergoes aging in wooden containers, most often oak.
One of the reasons whiskey is so popular is that there’s no single way to enjoy it. There’s the purist route — straight and neat, no mixers, no ice — but what fun is being a purist? You can add water to it, which can enhance certain bottles’ flavors or you can add it with other ingredients to make delicious mixed drinks. It’s the foundation of the Manhattan, the Old Fashioned, the Whiskey Sour and many others.
