Product description
Old Overholt is the oldest of The Olds, a relic you can drink. This famous Straight Rye Whiskey has a distinctive flavor and appeal that, after Prohibition, made it the most popular spirit in the country. Agreeable means you get along. And Old Overholt does just that. It’s renowned for its outstanding mixability in classic cocktails like the Old Style Manhattan (look it up). The one and only Old Overholt Rye Whiskey is 86 Proof and aged 3 years.

Mike Charette Adam Bass. Verified BuyerVerified BuyerExcellent in a Manhattan.
Gabriel Verified BuyerVerified BuyerGreat whiskey at this price point. Compares well to bulleit. Don’t tell too many people and make it hard to find!
TIMOTHY Get a fedora, a .38 revolver, and a pack of Luckies and just tuck in. This is not snob whiskey. It's the real deal, in the way that Jim Beam is a sound workingman's tipple. Price (or lack thereof) is not always an indication of quality. Just the trick for watching some old noir films.
Clifford Wright Verified BuyerVerified BuyerFirst, for the quality, which is excellent, the price can't be beat. But I'm prejudiced, as Old Overholt was the only rye available when I sat at the now defunct Tune Inn in Washington DC in 1974 at 1 am after work, introduced to me by the bartender, and now known as a bartender's favorite. For me it's pure nostalgia, which has a taste of its own. I've had a $150 bottle of Whistle Pig and I would still choose Old Overholt. Breath in deeply before sipping. Are there smoother ryes? Yes, but you can't go wrong here.
Brandon K. Verified BuyerVerified BuyerIt’s a decent, inexpensive rye.
Kevin G. Verified BuyerVerified BuyerPretty good for the price.
Daniel S. Verified BuyerVerified BuyerSolid mixing rye; probably not a sipper.
Jeffrey Verified BuyerVerified BuyerEspecially at the price-point, this is a tasty, easy-drinking rye. It's worth drinking neat and also makes a mean Manhattan.
Mark Verified BuyerVerified BuyerThis is my favorite for making (Rye) Whiskey Sours.
