Product Description

High West Rendezvous Rye Whiskey is made with a blend of straight rye which is aged four to seven years in charred American white oak barrels. That process gives this blended whiskey a high rye content and uncompromising flavor. A very spicy flavor with notes of cinnamon, vanilla, caramel, molasses and candied fruit pair with a balanced body that makes this spirit perfect for whiskey cocktails. Each sip delivers a lingering finish laced with fragrant spices and vanilla. Enjoy this American whiskey straight up. The high rye mash bill also makes this cinnamon whiskey a crucial ingredient in a classic Manhattan cocktail. Choose High West and enjoy delicious craft whiskey made with the pioneering spirit of the West. Sip Responsibly. Palettes are subjective but this is my favorite rye. Flavorful, powerful, mellow, nothing to prove, and smoothest when poured neat. Nothing about it tastes thin or cheap. Finishes like a honey crisp apple.

High West makes a number of unique American Whiskey blends and the Rendezvous Rye is their flagship. Smooth, spicy, and all around delicious. It's the baseline I compare most other Ryes to.

Yes, whiskey is gluten-free, thanks to the distillation process used to make it. The Celiac Disease Foundation concluded that it can safely be considered gluten-free, though it’s still possible that some people with high gluten sensitivity or celiac disease could have a reaction to whiskeys created from certain grains.
Whiskey can include a large number of different distilled spirits made from fermented grain mash — usually cereal grains like rye, barley malt, wheat and corn. The drink undergoes aging in wooden containers, most often oak.
One of the reasons whiskey is so popular is that there’s no single way to enjoy it. There’s the purist route — straight and neat, no mixers, no ice — but what fun is being a purist? You can add water to it, which can enhance certain bottles’ flavors or you can add it with other ingredients to make delicious mixed drinks. It’s the foundation of the Manhattan, the Old Fashioned, the Whiskey Sour and many others.
