Product description

Hibiki, which means “Resonance” in Japanese, was born in 1989, marking the 60th Anniversary of Suntory. It embodies Suntory's profound philosophy of living harmoniously with nature and people. As the Founding House of Japanese Whisky and a House of Master Blenders, the House of Suntory embarked on an extraordinary journey to explore the true essence of Harmony within a blend. Each Hibiki expression is a highly coveted masterpiece globally, meticulously crafted to unveil a distinct facet of Harmony. This pursuit was not without its challenges, particularly with the Sakura cask, known for its potent character that can easily overpower. Through relentless experimentation, we discovered that grain whiskies aged in Sakura casks best enhanced the overall balance, creating a Blossoming Harmony that slowly unfolds. The result is a remarkably unique Hibiki expression. It extends an enchanting invitation with a floral bouquet, followed by Hibiki's signature depth and complexity, offering notes of honey, candied orange peel, jasmine, and indulgent chocolate decadence. This captivating journey culminates in a surprising finish with hints of bittersweet spiciness. Hibiki represents an artful exploration of Harmony that captivates the senses and offers a glimpse into a world of unparalleled craftsmanship.

FAQs

Yes, whiskey is gluten-free, thanks to the distillation process used to make it. The Celiac Disease Foundation concluded that it can safely be considered gluten-free, though it’s still possible that some people with high gluten sensitivity or celiac disease could have a reaction to whiskeys created from certain grains.
Whiskey can include a large number of different distilled spirits made from fermented grain mash — usually cereal grains like rye, barley malt, wheat and corn. The drink undergoes aging in wooden containers, most often oak.
One of the reasons whiskey is so popular is that there’s no single way to enjoy it. There’s the purist route — straight and neat, no mixers, no ice — but what fun is being a purist? You can add water to it, which can enhance certain bottles’ flavors or you can add it with other ingredients to make delicious mixed drinks. It’s the foundation of the Manhattan, the Old Fashioned, the Whiskey Sour and many others.
