Product description

Tullamore D.E.W. XO Caribbean Rum Cask Finish is the brand’s original triple blend of Irish whiskey finished in Demerara Rum casks. Its unique, versatile blend creates a smooth liquid with notes of vanilla, oak, citrus, ripe banana, and delicate spice, and a creamy mouthfeel with deep caramel tastes and undertones of dates and raisins. Best enjoyed on the rocks, in a cocktail, or however you please! Tullamore DEW Irish whiskey is crafted in our state-of-the-art Tullamore Distillery which brought whiskey production back to the village of Tullamore, Ireland, where it was originally made in 1829. D. E. W. are the initials of Daniel Edmund Williams who was our General Manager and one of the greatest distillers Ireland has ever had, whom we honor on every bottle. Glasses up to responsible drinking!

I never would have imagined Irish whiskey finished in Caribbean rum barrels, but it’s actually quite a great combination. I enjoyed the very slight sweetness the rum barrel brings to the whiskey. If you’re a Tullamore D.E.W. fan and have been wondering if you should try this variety, go for it! You won’t be disappointed.

I've had other TD Whiskies and I was very surprised with this bottle! I could compare it with the regular TD and there are some distinct changes that I liked a lot! Definitely sweeter, nice finish, with a smooth taste (Little/no burn)! I like this ! Try it if your a Irish Whiskey fan, better then Writers Tears !

Love this taste. I have been drinking Tullamore Dew, the original, I can't believe I have to say 'original' for years. Hesitant to stray, but this is very good.

I tasted this at my favorite liquor store and immediately bought a bottle. I recently bought more so obviously we like it. Have always been a Toullamore D.E.W. fan.

Our local liquor store didn't have the whisky I was looking for, however, it did have one bottle of the Tullamore DEW XO Rum Cask finish. What a happy discovery. This is a very enjoyable sipper. I'll now look to Tullamore for other releases, or ask the store to bring them in.

Browsing the selections of Irish Whiskeys I came across the Tullamore section. As a fan of Rum it intrigued me as I have had other's with a special barrel finish. To my delight it delivered and is to be enjoyed as is.

I wanted to try this when it first came out. I was not disappointed. Very smooth throughout the sampling, and a nice rum aftertaste. Does have a slight fruit scent to it.

FAQs

Yes, whiskey is gluten-free, thanks to the distillation process used to make it. The Celiac Disease Foundation concluded that it can safely be considered gluten-free, though it’s still possible that some people with high gluten sensitivity or celiac disease could have a reaction to whiskeys created from certain grains.
Whiskey can include a large number of different distilled spirits made from fermented grain mash — usually cereal grains like rye, barley malt, wheat and corn. The drink undergoes aging in wooden containers, most often oak.
One of the reasons whiskey is so popular is that there’s no single way to enjoy it. There’s the purist route — straight and neat, no mixers, no ice — but what fun is being a purist? You can add water to it, which can enhance certain bottles’ flavors or you can add it with other ingredients to make delicious mixed drinks. It’s the foundation of the Manhattan, the Old Fashioned, the Whiskey Sour and many others.
