Product Description

Like Tullamore D.E.W. Original, Tullamore D.E.W. 12 Year Old Special Reserve is a triple distilled blend of all three types of Irish whiskey. However, it has a high proportion of pot still and malt whiskeys, matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks, for 12 to 15 years. A very fine aged whiskey with great complexity.

Smooth without a cheap, nasty bite after taste! Worth every penny for the smooth and satisfying taste.

This is my all time favorite whiskey. Not my favorite Irish whiskey, but my all time FAVORITE! I love to pour a hot in coco for a nice night cap and I always sleep easy after.

This is the right year for Tullamore Dew. Rich, smooth flavor. Nice oak hints and just beautiful. Poured over 2 ice cubes chilled just ever so it's a great sip. The price is just right too. Even on a budget I can swing it.

[product:tullamore-dew-12-year-old-special-reserve]is an absolute treat. Nose: Scones with clotted cream and vinous strawberry jam, sultanas, dates and digestive biscuits. Linseed and honey. Palate: Light and soft with hints of gentle spices (nutmeg, allspice), a touch of honey and creamy fruits in yoghurt. Finish: Medium length with a little oaky/nutty bittersweetness. Overall: A blend of malt whiskey, pot still whiskey and grain whiskey matured in bourbon and Sherry casks, all of which is evident here.

This stuff tastes like sunshine and angel kisses. The only reason I do not buy this more often is to avoid being an alcoholic and to save money.

I absolutely loved the full flavor! It went down smooth. No bad after taste in your mouth either. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a glass now and again. It is worth the price.

FAQs

Yes, whiskey is gluten-free, thanks to the distillation process used to make it. The Celiac Disease Foundation concluded that it can safely be considered gluten-free, though it’s still possible that some people with high gluten sensitivity or celiac disease could have a reaction to whiskeys created from certain grains.
Whiskey can include a large number of different distilled spirits made from fermented grain mash — usually cereal grains like rye, barley malt, wheat and corn. The drink undergoes aging in wooden containers, most often oak.
One of the reasons whiskey is so popular is that there’s no single way to enjoy it. There’s the purist route — straight and neat, no mixers, no ice — but what fun is being a purist? You can add water to it, which can enhance certain bottles’ flavors or you can add it with other ingredients to make delicious mixed drinks. It’s the foundation of the Manhattan, the Old Fashioned, the Whiskey Sour and many others.
