Product description

Produced in Slane Ireland, Slane Irish Whiskey is aged using our signature 'Tripled Casked' method. This involves resting our Grain and Malt whiskies between three different cask types; Virgin Oak, Seasoned Oak and Oloroso Sherry. These casks are then blended to create an exceptionally rich, smooth Irish whiskey. This whiskey is our testament to the character of the people of Slane and to all those who take pride in building their own legacy.

We love this brand for old fashions, manhattans, and hot toddies.

Delightfully complex, my $80+fav scotch is going to have a lot of trouble going back into rotation. I hate the bottle’s shape, but I’ll gladly survive.

After watching an online "competition" between EIGHT budget-priced Irish whiskeys, this winner was worth a try. I was very happy with the result---quite frankly a lot more complexity and character than Jameson and the major medium-to-high priced brands. Became my instant go-to basic Irish. Should become yours, too.

For the price this cost it was sensational. Smoother finish than accustomed to whilst drinking Irish whiskey. Was definitely versatile in playing around with different cocktails during quarantine.

For the price, this is a fairly smooth whiskey. The nose immediately reminds me of banana with a hint of spices underlying--predominately clove. The taste is very mild and almost sweet, with a touch of an earthy taste at the very end. Overall, would purchase this whiskey again.

FAQs

Yes, whiskey is gluten-free, thanks to the distillation process used to make it. The Celiac Disease Foundation concluded that it can safely be considered gluten-free, though it’s still possible that some people with high gluten sensitivity or celiac disease could have a reaction to whiskeys created from certain grains.
Whiskey can include a large number of different distilled spirits made from fermented grain mash — usually cereal grains like rye, barley malt, wheat and corn. The drink undergoes aging in wooden containers, most often oak.
One of the reasons whiskey is so popular is that there’s no single way to enjoy it. There’s the purist route — straight and neat, no mixers, no ice — but what fun is being a purist? You can add water to it, which can enhance certain bottles’ flavors or you can add it with other ingredients to make delicious mixed drinks. It’s the foundation of the Manhattan, the Old Fashioned, the Whiskey Sour and many others.
