Single Barrel Bourbon started with Blanton's in 1984. Nearing retirement, Master Distiller Elmer T. Lee was tasked with creating a bourbon of exceptionally high quality. With careful reflection, he recalled the earlier days of his career in the late 1940s when he worked under Colonel Albert B. Blanton. Colonel Blanton was the president of the distillery until 1952. Mr. Lee remembered that when Colonel Blanton would entertain dignitaries and other important guests he would handpick "honey barrels" from the center cut of Warehouse H and have that bourbon bottled one barrel at a time. As a tribute to Colonel Blanton's old tradition, Elmer T. Lee decided to name this new bourbon "Blanton's Single Barrel".View all products by Blanton'sCalifornia Residents: Click here for Proposition 65 WARNING

This is a really good $40.00 bottle of whiskey. At $200.00 I’ll pass
Great bourbon just the price doesn’t make sense in Paris, France the price is 60€ with taxes and this bourbon is from the usa.
This is a good bourbon, but never pay more than $100 for it. There are great sub $100 options that are just as good. Try Woodford Double Oaked (around $60) or Old Forester 1910 (also around $60) for similar flavor profiles but better. I buy Blanton's when I can find it at the right price, which these days is almost never.

Top shelf, the best I’ve had. To anyone who is a bourbon drinker if you haven’t had Blanton’s your missing out on the finest, and once you’ve had it you’ll want it anytime time you drink.
$99 at the liquor store and it’s in stock a few times per month. This price is insanely obnoxious. Shame on Drizly.

Literally right after I ordered, I saw all these ppl purporting this to be an extremely overhyped Bourbon. I then saw MSRP was like $60 and thought wth however after trying this wonderful nectar, I think it is not overhyped at all should be on anyone whiskey persons list to try. I don’t know if it’s overpriced since I’m relatively inexperienced but I’ve had a few scotches, islays, irishes, japanese, bourbons and I must say this is one of my tops. I also liked hibiki and monkey shoulder. Mac 12 is good. Still tryna figure out if redbreast 15 really does it. I’m gonna try it again but first impressions weren’t all that great. But the honey on the Blanton is something I can come back to consistently.
