Product description

Named in the spirit of outrider horsemen who prevent cattle from straying from the herd, defiant bourbon traditionalist distiller Steve Nally refused to make rye whiskey and instead surprised the world by crafting a singular spirit that is neither a bourbon, nor a rye, but something more. An American Straight Whiskey barreled only in November of 2011 and bottled at 50% ABV, a limited quantity is released annually. An increasingly rare whiskey, less than 300 barrels were laid down with the current release aged 7 years, 10 months. Each annual release presents an increased complexity and depth.” Amber in color with a nose of cinnamon and allspice with a palate of cloves, freshly baked dark rye bread and orange blossom honey. A creamy mouthfeel with a long and spicy rye finished with hints of buttery toffee.
