Love it been drinking about 3 or 4 years now. Found it looking for black distilleries read up on it but was very intrigued and had to try once I found out the original creator was the one that learn Mr. Daniels, how to make his wonderful tasting whiskey. Like com'mon you have too try after discovering something like that; Jack Daniels, who doesn't love jack.

    Always delicious

Probably the smoothest whiskey I’ve ever enjoyed in the “less than $100” range. Very rich flavoring while also reminding the taster “I’m still a Tennessee whiskey”.

Best whiskey I've ever had. More of a slow burn and almost sweet tasting.

FAQs

Yes, whiskey is gluten-free, thanks to the distillation process used to make it. The Celiac Disease Foundation concluded that it can safely be considered gluten-free, though it’s still possible that some people with high gluten sensitivity or celiac disease could have a reaction to whiskeys created from certain grains.
Whiskey can include a large number of different distilled spirits made from fermented grain mash — usually cereal grains like rye, barley malt, wheat and corn. The drink undergoes aging in wooden containers, most often oak.
One of the reasons whiskey is so popular is that there’s no single way to enjoy it. There’s the purist route — straight and neat, no mixers, no ice — but what fun is being a purist? You can add water to it, which can enhance certain bottles’ flavors or you can add it with other ingredients to make delicious mixed drinks. It’s the foundation of the Manhattan, the Old Fashioned, the Whiskey Sour and many others.

About the brand

Nearest Green was the first known African-American Master Distiller. Aptly nicknamed the Godfather of Tennessee Whiskey, it was Nearest who perfected the globally recognized Lincoln County process, a unique filtering method that utilizes sugar maple charcoal, turning straight bourbon into Tennessee Whiskey. The Lincoln County Process was named after the county where Nearest lived and made whiskey. Since its launch in July 2017, Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey has become the fastest-growing independent American whiskey brand in U.S. history, as well as the most awarded American whiskey or bourbon brand of 2019. Recent awards include Double Gold at the SF World Spirits Competition, World's Best Whiskey in 2019 and 2020, Best American Whiskey at the New Orleans Bourbon Festival, and a 95 Points from the Critics Challenge.
