Michter’s Celebration Sour Mash Whiskey represents the first time an American Whiskey company was offering such a rare blend that could rival the finest spirits made anywhere else in the world. A magnificent whiskey, Michter’s 2019 Celebration Sour Mash Whiskey originated from six barrels: two Kentucky straight bourbon, and four Kentucky straight rye, each aged from over a decade to over 30 years in first use barrels. Bottling Strength: 115.6 Proof (57.8% alcohol by volume) Cooperage: Fire-charred, new American white oak barrels Tasting Notes Only: The symphony of flavors is highlighted by dark chocolate truffle, savory characteristics, and a hint of spice. There are notes of citrus and pineapple wrapped in the warmth of clove and cinnamon with the lingering richness of candied pecans and maple syrup on the finish.

Yes, whiskey is gluten-free, thanks to the distillation process used to make it. The Celiac Disease Foundation concluded that it can safely be considered gluten-free, though it’s still possible that some people with high gluten sensitivity or celiac disease could have a reaction to whiskeys created from certain grains.
Whiskey can include a large number of different distilled spirits made from fermented grain mash — usually cereal grains like rye, barley malt, wheat and corn. The drink undergoes aging in wooden containers, most often oak.
