Product description

Mellow Corn is authentic American Corn Whiskey, a unique kind of straight whiskey that is rarely seen. As corn whiskey, it must be at least 81% corn grain in the mash bill and can be aged in new uncharred or used charred barrels. The forerunner and kissing cousin to Bourbon, American Straight Corn Whiskey has a recipe or mash bill that includes the minimum of 81% corn, the rest being malted barley and rye. As world-renowned whiskey writer Jim Murray wrote, ""If you are a true student of whiskey, your education is a long way from being complete until you have mastered this particularly charming form.

Well if so, this is literally the essence of corn distilled into a bottle that ends up in your mouth that ends up in your... well, nevermind. Just buy it.

I don't understand why people thumb their noses at this great product. It's hands down the BEST value of any whiskey out there, tried and true it's as American as apple pie. If people really enjoyed whiskey and all it's subtleties then they would understand this is by far a classic and a staple. But people would rather have fancy bottles and a ridiculous story that some marketing team dreamed up, along with a MSRP ten times what's it really worth.

Is there better whiskey out there? Probably, but all the others, you can find other whiskeys that are similar. Similar nose, similar palate, etc. With them, if you can't find it, you'll find 20 other whiskeys that you'll like because they're similar. Mellow Corn isn't. If you like Mellow Corn, there isn't a similar substitute. It stands alone.

There are 2 kinds of people in this world, people who love Mellow Corn, and people who haven't tried it yet. I'm personally looking forward to single barrel picks and barrel proof versions of this amazing whiskey!

FAQs

Yes, whiskey is gluten-free, thanks to the distillation process used to make it. The Celiac Disease Foundation concluded that it can safely be considered gluten-free, though it’s still possible that some people with high gluten sensitivity or celiac disease could have a reaction to whiskeys created from certain grains.
Whiskey can include a large number of different distilled spirits made from fermented grain mash — usually cereal grains like rye, barley malt, wheat and corn. The drink undergoes aging in wooden containers, most often oak.
One of the reasons whiskey is so popular is that there’s no single way to enjoy it. There’s the purist route — straight and neat, no mixers, no ice — but what fun is being a purist? You can add water to it, which can enhance certain bottles’ flavors or you can add it with other ingredients to make delicious mixed drinks. It’s the foundation of the Manhattan, the Old Fashioned, the Whiskey Sour and many others.
