About 1800 Tequila
1800 is not just the name on the bottle — it's the year when tequila was first aged properly in oak casks. Decades before, Jose Antonio Cuervo had been given official royal license to make tequila, but it wasn't until 1800 that the good stuff was successfully crafted. It was 1975 when the 1800 brand was launched, designed to be a top-shelf sipping elixir to satisfy even the most stalwart of tequila purists. The artisan techniques used to craft that centuries-old first batch are still in use when today's 1800 is made. The trapezoidal bottle shape is in tribute to the Mayan pyramids that represent the culture and people of Mexico. It's made from 100 percent blue agave and bottled in Jalisco. You can find a variety of 1800 products on Drizly, including the crystal-clear Reserva Silver and Select Silver, smoky amber-tinged Reposado and the dark and complex Reserva Añejo varieties. You can also check out some of the modern flavored tequilas that 1800 creates by infusing flavors such as coconut, pineapple, raspberry, peach, watermelon, blueberry and jalapeño lime. Pre-mixed margaritas and 1800 Ultimate Mojito Mix are also on the menu. ¡Salud!
