Espolòn Tequila is the realization of a lifelong passion of Maestro Tequilero Cirilo Oropeza. who spent over 50 years in the tequila industry learning traditional production methods only to turn them on their head His goal was simple: to create a tequila so good, he would be proud to share it with the world. Espolon Tequila is made from hand-harvested, 100% blue weber agave in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. We double-distill in our owned and operated distillery, Casa San Nicolas, to create a smooth and balanced tequila, ensuring the highest attention to quality at every step. We even play classical music to our jugo as it ferments, as we believe the music helps the process thanks to the vibrations of the sound waves. Named for the spur of the proud rooster, Espolòn is a tribute to the creative spirit and pays homage to the richness of Mexico's storied past, both in its making, and in our spirited label artwork that brings those stories to life.
